Way to long!

Sorry everyone...I know it's been a long time. First, I couldn't open blog from my home computer and then a bunch of crap happened. So here we are in the middle of March. Sheesh! The year has flown by, Ellery will be 9 months on Monday. We just went to the doctor she is 15.2 lbs (5%) and 28 1/4 inch long (75%) and healthy!

Here are some pictures from the past few months.
She found the price tag and handed it to me. I stuck it on her head and she wandered around for a few minutes, then it fell off. Then she handed it to me again, I put it back on her head but this time she knew it was there and tried to pull it off.
This is the exact same picture I took of Grandpa Richard and Ellery when he was in Denver. Ellery was much smaller.

Just too cute. Our two girls hanging together!
Can you see my new tooth? If you look closely you can see a bit of white.
She loves to stand and play like a big girl. Her new favorite thing is to walk around the house holding your fingers. She can even kick the soccer ball!
She is a good eater...a bit messy, but it's fun!

Ellery learned to say "dada" and "mama". She now she says "mama" all the time when she wants me. So cute, except at night when I'm trying to sleep. It's really hard not to get up and go to her when she asks for me.

I promise it won't be so long next time!

Almost back to normal

So we've been home for a few weeks and things have finally calmed down. Ellery is back in her routine of going to bed at the right time. And we are back to our routine of Tues, Wed, and Thurs in the Avon, so I can work and the rest of the week in Denver so Casey can work.

I don't know if it's being a mom but I have been having this incredible urge to bake on the weekends. It's almost a craving! Hopefully, when Beaver Creek opens I will be baking up a storm!

She is just so adorable in these cute pjs with the ruffle on the bum! Thank you Auntie Janet.

The great thing about coming to Denver every weekend is seeing Grandma and Grandpa Brown! She loves it. And apparently Grandpa's glasses!
Again, a bit dark but she is holding herself up in the tub! She is getting so big so fast, I love being a MOM!!!

The rest of October

So October was so full of adventures. Our next adventure was back to Oregon to see all the family and friends. I went out there for 4 fully days and they were so packed that is wasn't nearly long enough.
We spent the whole first day with Grammie Kathy running around and shopping. There is the greatest baby second hand store in Eugene. Love it!
Then we went to Shamrock to show off Ellery. Ellery loved the cutest pink Elephant.

Then we saw my best friends from high school Rubi and Teresita. It was a short visit, much too short!
Then we watched the Oregon Ducks beat USC at Grammie Kathy's with Grandpa Wes and Auntie Brenda.

Friday we went and saw Auntie Janet.

Then we hung out with Auntie Carisa and Mia. It was so fun. As soon as Mia saw Ellery she wanted to hold her. It was adorable.

We did some more shopping at the second hand store then went to dinner with the family.

Saturday was family day. My Aunt Kathy came up from Grants Pass, my Aunt Brenda was in town from California with her daughter Bethany who I haven't seen since she was 11. That was a shocker...she's 21 and beautiful. My Uncle Randy met us and we all went to Olive Garden for lunch. We met Grammie Kethy and Papa Richard there. It was a great family outing! I got to pass Ellery around to everyone, she was so happy.

Saturday night we went and saw Grammie Kathy's Aunt Shirley and Uncle Harvey.

Sunday Grammie Kathy, Ellery and I went and saw my friend Cassadie. I have known her for 31 years. Crazy! She has two boys who are the cutest. Ellery had fun playing on the floor with all their toys and fell in love with the elephants. Cassadie was nice enough to give her one. She still gets so excited when she sees it and it goes everywhere with her.

By the way we had the best chocolate cookies there! Cassadie, you and Jack are the best cooks!

Then Ellery and I went back over to Carisa's house and had dinner and met Lincoln, Lisa, Kevin and Lucy.

Monday we drove back to Portland for our flight and went to the outlet mall. Ellery made out like a bandit! She has enough overalls to last her for the next year.

It was a great visit! Next time I will have to make it longer. I didn't spend nearly enough time with everyone!

I just have to say Ellery is such traveler!

The next weekend was Halloween. On Saturday we went to Max and Morgan's and carved pumpkins. I took two from our garden as you can see from the pictures they are quite large. I actually couldn't carry either.

I also haven't carved pumpkins on so long I forgot how fun and cool the pumpkins look.

I let Ellery stick her hand in the pumpkin seeds before I washed them. At first she a bit unsure, but then stuck both hands in the goo!
Ellery was a pumpkin for Halloween because she is my little pumpkin.

On Halloween we went and saw Grandma and Grandpa Brown so we could show off our costume.

Then it was off to Auntie Tammi's for some Halloween fun!

October

October has been eventful. First, Ellery met her aunt Kristin. Then we celebrated Grandma Patti's birthday...It was a surprise!

We spent most of the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Then it was my birthday. Great dinner just Casey and I, thanks Brett! Normally I start the count down for my birthday a month prior. This year I didn't even think about it until my husband gave me early birthday presents! If you know me at all this is unusual. Guess mommy brain includes birthdays.

The next weekend Ellery learned to roll over. She easily rolls from her back to her front, however, she still has issues rolling from front to back. According to the baby books this is backwards. Maybe Ellery is just trying to skip ahead!
I also decided to go running, then it got cold. So we bundled!

Then Uncle Matt came for a visit before he left for Panama.
She loved the beard!
The rest of the day we spent walking around 16th street mall with Auntie Cassi.
We love standing.
Here's more of Ellery!

Bumbo

Ellery's new thing is wanting to sit up all the time. The kink in her plan is she can't do it by herself. Thankfully our friends Dave and Lang sent us a Bumbo (don't google it). It's a seat for kids that can't sit up by themselves, but it makes them think they are doing it. Ellery loves it. If you get one get the tray to go with. It's a great toy holder (also it catches all the drool so keep a cloth around to wipe it up).

It also makes it so the toys are really close to her mouth.
I know the picture is dark but she's also an Illinois fan.

Fun pics!

My little wonder! She is getting so big so fast. It seems like every day she is doing something new. She is definately getting louder. She has found her screamer. Not in a bad way. She screams and squeals when she's happy.
It was a bit chilly in our house in Eagle-Vail one morning. So I went out to find her the hat I had made her. She usually fusses when we put hats on her. Luckily, she likes this one!
Our little Duck Fan!

little black dress!

This picture was just soooo cute! Her shirt says "This is my little black dress!"
She is getting so big...I came home yesterday and I swear she grew. She has so much personality and is so happy (most of the time). It has been an adjustment going back to school. In two ways...first, I want to be home with her all the time. I might miss something! Although I've found it is easier to leave when she is sleeping. Second, I only work 2.5 days a week. It is weird!
